So, what is argan oil? This nutrient-rich oil is derived from argan trees, a thorny, thick tree native to southwestern Morocco. The oil is made from the tree's fruit, a nut with a hard shell. To create the oil, the nut is first cracked open and the kernel inside is pulled out. It's the kernel that is essential to creating the oil. The kernels are then ground, creating a thick, oily paste. Once the oil is extracted from the paste, it becomes argan oil. Argan oil moisturizes your hair and scalp and protect your hair from everyday damage. By reducing breakage and split ends and keeping your scalp healthy, argan oil may help prevent hair loss for thicker, fuller hair.
